Information for new members of staff

• Fill in the School Induction Forms
• Read the School Safety Handbook
• Read this web site (MR Centre Safety). Initially make sure you read the section on Fire, Access to Magnet Labs and Working alone. (Do not start experimnetal work without reading appropriate risk assessments)
• PhD students must fill in Project Supervisory Requirements form with their superviror
• Become an Authorised Person- return test to Penny or Andy to get an Access permit
• Fill in a Safety Screening Form- return to Lesley Martin
• Get a key and learn about the burglar alarm from Andy
• Fill in a consent form to consent to being scanned for development work (OPTIONAL)
• If you will be using the scanners you will evenetually also have to become a Scanner Operator.
